Fairway Bunker Shot
The imprtant thing to consdier is club selection. You'll need to hit the ball high enough to get it over grass mounds or lips that surround the bunker. Trying to get too much out of the shot could leave you scrambling on yuur next shot.
You'll want to ask yourself: "What lofted club I know I can swing to clear these obstacles?” If your sure, then chances are you haven’t chosen enough loft.
It may be hard to believe, but with a little practice your fairway bunker shots can become easy and routine with a little practice and the proper swing thoughts. It doesn;t take much to perfect the technique of the fairway bunker swing. Think of it as a full swing where you are trying to pick the ball cleanly.
