Learn to seek out a target beyond the fairway to help you become more consistent off the tee.
Today we’re going to talk about how to hit the driver. Some key tips on how to hit the driver and what I’d like to think about as far as a pre-shot
routine leading into that.
So the first thing I’m going to talk about is, we like to stand behind the ball and pick out a target in the distance that we cannot reach. So I’m always looking at either a tree or a building or something beyond the target that I can’t reach.
Once I have established that as I set up to hit the golf ball I’m thinking
about two things.
I’m thinking about the ball position being inside my left heel.
I’m thinking about my stance being a little wider than shoulder-width.
And from there, with nice loose grip pressure, all I’m thinking about is a good turn and a nice finish.
