Links on Longboat
Links on Longboat have many characteristics of a classic seaside links course.
Ocean breezes, expansive natural areas, and big greens create an incredible golfing experience. Links on Longboat stretch out to 6,748 yards from end to end with five sets of tees to accommodate any level of play. The Par 71 layout demands accuracy off the tee.
Most holes on the Links on Longboat feature small waterways that run along one side of the fairway to force you into a decision on placement validating the original “watery challenge” description. Once you have driven your ball in a good fairway position, the fun begins.
This Ron Garl design challenges your iron play but does not penalize you for an errant shot. Fewer bunkers and more grassed collection areas allow the golfer to have an easy pitch to the hole if you have missed the green.
Each green on the Links on Longboat has been completely redesigned with Ron’s creative imagination and all 18 holes have been re-grassed with the superior, salt-tolerant Platinum Paspalum grass. In addition to the natural wildlife seen daily, over 5,000 Palm trees along with pink and white Oleanders line the Links on Longboat course.
