When confronted with your ball just off the green on closely mowed grass most players are encouraged to use the putter first. If you can’t use the putter then consider hitting a pitch shot. If you can’t do that you may be forced to hit a shot that requires you to keep the ball low, bounce once and then release to the flag.
Patrick Doyle is the Head Golf Professional at The Quarry. Pat grew up in Wilmington, Delaware and then traveled to the University of Montana to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in Business Marketing. It was there in his final year that Patrick started playing golf. After graduating, Patrick started his golf career at Harbourtowne Golf Resort in St. Michael’s, Maryland. In 2006, Patrick headed south to escape the winter months and worked at The Country Club of Naples before coming on-board at The Quarry in 2007.

About Tessa Teachman
You might remember Tessa Teachman from Big Break Myrtle Beach. Though she did not fear well on the show, Tessa’s golf resume is pretty impressive. Born in Rochester, New York, Tessa played collegiate golf at LSU. Her junior golf resume included winning multiple New York State junior amateur and PGA Junior series events. She also was a member of the 2005 Junior Ryder Cup Team and finished Third Individually at the 2012 NCAA Division I Women’s Golf Championships. Professionally, she played on the Ladies European Tour.
