Tiburon Black Course at Tiburon Naples

Players also have the opportunity to perfect their game on-site with the Tiburón Golf Academy. Tiburón Golf Club and the Tiburon Black Course is the host of the LPGA CME Group Championship and PGA TOUR QBE Shootout.
The Tiburon Black Corse is certainly a shot makers course and because of its length, you probably won’t be hitting a driver off of every hole.
“You can get yourself in trouble if you’re hitting the driver, especially if you’re not hitting it right down the middle.”
And while the fairway bunkers are there as protection, they also offer an idea of where the hole is heading so you can play off of them off the tee, especially in the dogleg.
Following Norman’s philosophy of maximizing the natural allure of the land, each element has been carefully integrated to produce a pleasing atmosphere in which to appreciate the finer aspects of the game.
”The Black Course is a little bit different from the Gold Course. The Black has a cut of rough around each hole on the course and the Gold does not. The Black is definitely a bit tighter. To score on the Tiburon Black Course it’s important to be on the right side of the hole for sure. You’ll find plenty of protection throughout most of the greens here on this layout as well.
From the fairway when you are looking at the greens, you might see a couple of bunkers. However, if you get into one of those bunkers, they’re not easy up and down.
